What is the difference between a certificate and a professional credential?
An educational certificate confirms completion of a defined programme or assessment. A professional credential confirms a broader set of requirements including education, practice, supervision, ethics and performance assessment, and it has a validity period, status, renewal process and public registry. CPQ therefore separates certificate verification from credential verification.
