I am Reem Mohammed, and I will tell you what I was, what I have become, and the path I will take, God willing.
In the beginning… we will talk a little about the Guernica incident, which was addressed by the profound artist Pablo Picasso in a painting of the same name. Guernica is a village in Spain that was subjected to indiscriminate bombing due to the lack of visibility caused by the smoke coming from the village.
The bombs were thrown on the village with no specific target, and when it was over, the corpses were seen scattered throughout the village, including all kinds of living beings (women, children, even animals). It was a massacre that shook human souls.
This is how a person is with himself when he lacks self-awareness and forms a foggy aura that obscures his view of himself.
“Art wipes the dust of everyday life,” a phrase said by Pablo in general about art. Little did he know that his painting, in which he depicted the brutality of war with its monochrome colors, would serve as a light for the souls imprisoned inside the fog of negative sediments.
Fear, anxiety, lying, flattery, confusion, wasting time, and others—all of these are particles that have formed a fog that obscures your essence.
You try to blow away the fog while you’re under the bombardment of society’s opinions, others’ evaluations, and your negative view of yourself.
You don’t know who you are? What is your essence?
Love, happiness, peace—these are your inner essence and the guiding sign to the human experience.
Here begins… the architecture of the self.
What is the thing that clarifies the inner vision for me?
How can I build my essence the same way skyscrapers are built?
Why can’t I reach my desired self?
Getting to know yourself anew is a must every day, as you are land full of treasures. You are the one who creates your own conditions when you are able to purify your vision.
Observe your daily actions, your words to yourself and to others, always ask yourself, “Is this what I love? What do I desire?”
Does this action represent my convictions and beliefs?
Did you know that by the age of seven, more than 90% of the values inside you are stored in your mind, and by the age of 21, these values are fully formed and stabilized? They are shaped by the environment around you—family, school, friends, and even the media. So, when you observe and document your actions, words, and feelings, you begin to identify your values, and through them, you can organize your thoughts and goals based on your awareness of their composition.
You will automatically find your life organizing itself in all its spiritual, material, physical, and intellectual aspects, all aligned toward your goal and what represents you. And which cloud will you now embrace, for every period has a peak, and every self-architecture has a cloud that elevates you higher and higher.
Your value for yourself is a natural self-healing for all the negatives and disappointments that have attached to your soul throughout life.
Using and applying what you have learned is the fuel for your self-architecture.
Create your own peaceful world.
You are the one who tunes your own cello strings…
Let the world be enveloped by the melodies of your soul…
Let the roses fly for it… and the birds bloom for it.
Be yourself.
