CPQ™ Research & Publication Standard
Methodology for research, surveys and reports that prevents data fabrication and separates findings from marketing
1. Research Principles
Document basis: CPQ institutional files and diploma cards, Discover Your Professional Path in Coaching, Ethics of Coaching Law, and CPQ's published professional content. New numeric or procedural requirements not already fixed in the source materials are presented as proposed CPQ internal policy for external review, not as a claim of recognition or equivalence by another body.
- Clear question and appropriate method.
- Declare data source and sample.
- Do not invent missing data.
- Record limitations and bias.
- Protect privacy and consent.
- Disclose funding and conflicts.
- Publish corrections for material errors.
2. Survey Requirements
A survey defines target population, recruitment method, field period, inclusion criteria, required/optional questions and reasonable duplicate controls. Actual counts (n) are reported with percentages, and findings are not generalised to the whole Gulf when the sample is limited or non-representative.
3. Integrity & Editorial Rules
Unfavourable results are not removed merely because they do not support a marketing message. References are credited accurately, and reports distinguish “what the data show”, “CPQ interpretation” and “recommendation”. Use of client or member data requires a clear basis and minimisation of identity.
4. Versioning
Every report has a reference code, version and data-freeze date. Material numeric changes after publication trigger a corrected version with a change log rather than silent replacement.
